I have had a re-occuring back pain for a few years and was recommended to take pilates classes from my physio. I started coming to Sophia’s classes at the gym that I am a member of a few months ago and have been very impressed that Sophia teaches such a wide variety of age groups and abilities. She really does ensure that she is given health information from each student prior to each class, which enables her to design a class suitable for the needs of each student. Sophia explains what each of the exercises are beneficial for, as well as giving demonstrations and a variety of levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) so that each student can work confidently with control and be appropriately challenged. No one class is exactly the same which keeps all her students motivated!

Sophia uses a variety of equipment for her classes from pilates blocks, rollers, balls, exer soft balls and resistance rings. She is passionate and enthusiastic when it comes to teaching and knowing how much to challenge the body – and yes my muscles know that they have been worked!

With Sophia’s assistance I have been given back my body confidence to be able to bend, twist and turn to enable me to carry out everyday activities. Although in my early 60’s I feel my posture has been re-aligned,and I have gained a stronger core and greater body flexibility. Thank-you Sophia!
